FR - Located a short distance from Alès and around 4 kilometres from Vézénobres, Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas is cooled by the river L'Avène, a thirty-kilometre-long river that flows into the nearby Gardon d'Alès. Arriving in Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas from Uzès, a number of houses and old mills stand as a reminder of the strong link between Saint-Hilaire and its river, following one another along the water and adding to the rural and bucolic atmosphere of the area.

UK - Commune située à peu de distance d’Alès et à environ 4 kilomètres de Vézénobres, Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas est rafraîchie par la rivière L’Avène, un cours d’eau long d’une trentaine de kilomètres qui se jette dans le Gardon d’Alès, tout proche. En arrivant à Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas depuis Uzès, quelques maisons et d’anciens moulins rappellent d'ailleurs le lien fort qui unit Saint-Hilaire à sa rivière, se succèdant au fil de l’eau et ajoutant à l’ambiance champêtre et bucolique de l’endroit.

FR - A former agricultural estate, Mas Platon (also known as ‘la Platone’) includes the Château de Jol (from the Occitan word for jewel), a singular building that has now been fully restored (dating back to the 17th century and which gave its name to the district halfway between Uzès and Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie), as well as the estate's former farmhouse, which is currently being restored.

UK - Ancien domaine agricole, le Mas Platon (aussi connu sous le nom de « la Platone ») est constitué du château de Jol (de l’occitan : joyau), édifice singulier à présent entièrement restauré, dont les origines remontent au 17e s et qui a donné son nom au quartier à mi-chemin entre Uzès et Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, ainsi que de l’ancienne ferme du domaine, en cours de restauration.
