If Portugal has left an indelible mark on your palate when it comes to gastronomy, then you’ve found the food truck for you.
A gourmet journey
“The idea to create O Lisboa came about almost naturally... My heritage, as well as my annual trips to Portugal during my childhood, made me realise that there was real culinary potential to be tapped into within Portuguese cuisine,” Mickael tells us.
A food truck celebrating Portuguese cuisine
“My ambition? Well... To use ‘fast food’ to share the richness of simple, flavourful Portuguese cuisine, featuring a range of traditional dishes such as bifana, Portuguese-style grilled chicken, cod fritters (the famous bolinhos de bacalhau) or meat fritters, which are hugely popular, not to mention the delicious pasteis de nata,” he continues.

A mobile canteen and a catering service
“Living in Fons-sur-Lussan, I do indeed enjoy travelling the roads of the Gard to share my passion.
But you can also place an order and collect it from Fons-sur-Lussan. What’s more, I regularly take part in private events and collaborate with La Maison de l’Eau in Allègre-les-Fumades for their monthly concerts.

From starters to dessert, this culinary journey is sure to delight you. Fancy an idea of the menu? Cahorro (the Portuguese hot dog),
bifana (a typical local sandwich), tosta mista or delicious pasteis de nata
(a recipe claimed by La Fábrica dos Pastéis de Belém since 1837),
the choice is modest but oh so representative of this welcoming country.

Menus showcasing local, seasonal produce
“My menus? Well, just like my recipes, they’re tailored to each season, and served as often as possible with my famous homemade chips. Fancy giving them a go? I’d be delighted to welcome you at one or other of my favourite spots. Então, até pronto!”
Many thanks to Mickael Morgado for his collaboration to this article.
